Exploring the quaint town of Hakodate was a wonderful mix of history, scenery, and incredible flavors. Climbing the picturesque Hachiman-zaka Slope, I enjoyed sweeping views of the city and harbor below. I also visited Cape Tachimachi, where the rugged coastline and expansive ocean views offered a peaceful retreat. For photographs from the famed Mount Hakodate, see the collection 'The Three Night Views of Japan'.
